When you watch him through glass walls of the nursery, you carried him in your arms and saw him gently close his eyes, you smiled because his lips formed a small circle when he dozed off and whisper “he was such an angel”. And then you will start building dreams for him, you even imagined what he would be in the future, will he be a surgeon, an architect, a teacher or can even lead a nation? You are so excited to hug him and hold him next to you. You even argue with your husband who he looked like even the grandparents were joining the arguments. A child really brings joy to the family.

In one particular beauty pageant one of the contestants was asked by one of the judges “what is the real essence of a woman”? Then the candidate answered, that the real essence of a woman is to become a mother. Being a mother is the most thrilling and wonderful moment that could happen to a woman. And we believed so, right? But that’s that all? Is the work done? No, there are lots of adjustments and sacrifices that you have to make. Raising a child is not an easy task. You have to be responsible enough to give all his needs and wants. He cries when he wants something, like when he’s hungry, you have to feed him milk, he never mind what time is it, even if it’s two o’clock in the morning. You have to be there always to accommodate his daily needs. But now we have some advance product to at least lessen our job, like diapers, they are really a big help, you don’t have to wake up late at night to wash him, when he’s wearing a diaper you don’t have to rush him to the toilet every time he wants to pee or poop, you can change it when it’s full or when he poop.

It is definitely fulfilling to raise your own child.
